What kind of power cable and transformer should I need?
e.g Suppose there is a set of 4 spotlights (each 3W) and 2 path lights (each 5W) need to be installed in the garden, How to choose the cable and the transformer?
1. Add the individual light fixture wattages for all lights. 4*3W+2*5W=22W
2. The typical distance between two lights is 6-8 feet, but closer or farther is ok too. Based on the above diagram, 6 lights total watts in 0-60 should choose 75-100ft 16AWG power cable
3. Transformer is large enough to support the Total Fixture Wattage, it should be the best usage within 80 percent of the rated capacity. So in this case a 45W transformer is enough

Good quality path lights and great value. These all-metal pathway lights are well made and easy to assemble. They project a good amount of light downward and provide a consistent 360° of light coverage, which is necessary for proper spacing. The stakes worked well and seem like they will stay in place for quite some time. The lights have continued to work well after a few significant rain storms so I think they'll hold up over time. For installation, I recommend using a wood block and hammer, placing the wood between the stake and hammering that; I would not recommend hitting the stakes with a hammer directly as the plastic can easily break. I was able to install these vertically level by using a simple bullseye level intermittently adjusting the angle as I hammered them into the ground. I also recommend not connecting the wires until after you've screwed the light into the ground stake as the wire will become significantly twisted. Overall, these are great lights and I recommend them. I’d love to be able to purchase them in smaller quantities (1 or 2) and an option to include the bulbs.

These path lights are one of the best things I've purchased from Amazon. We had professional lighting installed in our landscape and absolutely loved it. However, when we wanted to add more, I couldn't justify over $300 PER LIGHT. I found these virtually identical lights (brass construction, etc) and installed them myself, for about $37 PER LIGHT. They've only been installed for a few weeks, so I can't speak to how they will hold up, but so far, I recommend them without hesitation.
